Experiences to sniff out.
The Harz Mountains are a paradise for shared experiences - from gentle trails through ancient forests to cultural discoveries in historic towns.
- Up the Brocken: a classic - on foot or with the Harz narrow-gauge railroad.
- Through the Bode Valley: wild rocks, rushing water, mysterious gorges - a hike that delights both humans and dogs.
- Urban flair: Wernigerode or Quedlinburg invite you to stroll through picturesque old towns. Cobblestones, half-timbered houses, small cafés and many places where four-legged friends are welcome.
- Along the water: Whether along the Okertal dam, the Oderteich pond or small streams - the mixture of forest paths and refreshing water makes these tours special summer moments.
- Winter worlds: When snow covers the landscape, the paths turn into quiet trails. A trail through the fresh powder snow, the clear air and the soft crunching under your paws - that's a winter vacation in the Harz Mountains with a dog.
