Gargnano: a village to discover among lemon trees, D.H. Lawrence and the lake
Gargnano, reachable by ferry from Salò, is a jewel of Lake Garda. Famous for its lemon houses, such as "La Malora," it offers an immersion in a landscape of unique scents and colors.
The village hosted in the small hamlet of Villa the writer D.H. Lawrence, who set some of his works here. The house where he lived at the time was called Villa Igea, and from his room that faced the lake he wrote, "I often catch a glimpse of the sunrise from my bed. The lake is a dark, milky mass; behind it, the mountains are deep blue ... then, at a precise point in the jagged line of peaks, a golden fire is kindled"

Visiting the dog beach is essential when vacationing with your dog at Lake Garda. Here, your dogs can roam freely, play in the water, and socialize with new friends while you soak up the sun and unwind.
Besides shaded areas and fresh water bowls, Fido Beach features a training area for dogs. Here, your pets can participate in courses to learn proper beach behavior or enjoy dog swimming lessons. A professional photographer is available to capture the special moments of your beach day. Fido Beach's dog area is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. during the summer months.
The town of Salò has designated a section of the public beach on Via Tavine specifically for visitors with dogs. You will find park benches, trash cans, and a water station for dogs in an area of approximately 500 square meters. This beach section is thoughtfully equipped to provide you and your dog a relaxing day by the water. The dog-friendly beach is open 24/7 and is accessible at no cost.
This complimentary dog beach extends approximately 700 meters along the enclosed Rivagranda beach shoreline, situated beneath the Parocchia Dei Santi Pietro e Paolo at the village's edge near Gargnano. You'll discover a refreshment kiosk, complimentary parasols for dogs, a play area for both children and dogs, and a lifeguard ensuring the safety of all visitors.
Situated between the Fornaci and Bergamini districts, this beach covers about 1000 square meters, offering a great spot for relaxing by the lake. In addition to dog facilities, there are sun loungers, umbrellas, showers, and restrooms for dog owners. This dog-friendly beach is open daily from 9:30 am to 7:00 pm during the summer months (until September 30) and requires a fee. It's recommended to book ahead, especially in August.

INFORMATION FOR YOUR DEPARTURE:
To reduce the waiting time at check-out, we are pleased to offer you the option of settling your bill at the front desk the night before your departure. This way, on the day of departure you can simply hand in your room card.
We would also like to remind you, for those leaving on Sundays, that the Gardesana 45Bis road is very busy. We recommend that you either leave early in the morning or govern yourselves a little longer in our wellness area and leave in the early afternoon.
