Are dogs welcome at A-ROSA Sylt?

Yes, dogs are allowed at A-ROSA Sylt, but only if booked in advance and in designated dog-friendly rooms. You can enquire about the availability of these dog-friendly rooms when booking.

Is there a maximum number of dogs per room?

As a general rule, only one dog is permitted per room; however, an exception may be made in consultation with the hotel, depending on the room category and the breed and size of the dog.

In which room categories are there dog-friendly rooms?

We have dog-friendly rooms in our Superior Land View, Side Sea View and Deluxe Sea View double rooms. They are also available in the Land View and Deluxe Sea View suites. Our A-ROSA Suite and Hideaway Suite can also be booked with a dog.

Will there be any extra charges for my dog at the hotel?

We charge €45 per night for your dog. This fee includes a dog treatment in the room and a thorough final clean of the room after departure.

What facilities does the A-ROSA Sylt offer for dogs?

We provide a dog care package in the room for dogs. This includes a dog cushion, two bowls, a ‘Dog in Room’ sign for the door, a small treat and a dog waste bag.

What special services does the A-ROSA Sylt offer for dogs?

We do not offer special services for dogs on a flat-rate basis; dog-sitting can be requested, but we do not have a set capacity for this. When a request is received, we check whether a member of staff is available and willing to provide this service outside their normal working hours. In such cases, we charge €15 per hour for one dog.

Can I take my dog to local restaurants?

Many other restaurants in the region allow dogs, so your dog can happily accompany you on your outings. Within the hotel, your dog is welcome to accompany you to our bar and onto the outdoor terrace, though this is only possible via a rear entrance, which our staff will of course be happy to show you.

Are there any dog-friendly beaches on Sylt?

There are certain dog-friendly beaches on the island where four-legged friends are very welcome.

Is there a leash requirement on Sylt?

Yes, in some areas dogs must be kept on a lead all year round; these include List, Kampen, as well as busy sections of beach and the beaches on the east side of the island. Outside the bathing season, from 1 November to 14 March, your dog is allowed to run freely off the lead on most other beaches on Sylt.
