Culinary delights at Straubinger Grand Hotel
Our culinary centerpiece is the Straubinger Saal, which was a popular venue for celebrations many years ago. In the Straubinger Café you can experience the relaxed atmosphere of Viennese coffee house culture, while the Straubinger Bar impresses in the evening with Martini & Co. The Straubinger wine cellar also opens its doors occasionally for special occasions and events.
Our varied selection at the buffet includes coffee specialties, fine pastries, freshly squeezed juices or pastry and egg dishes prepared to order. We are also happy to fulfill your individual wishes.
Seasonal ingredients from selected regional producers set the pace for the 4-course menu in the evening. Tartare, terrine, pot soufflé or boiled beef invite you on a culinary journey across borders and can also be served in vegetarian or vegan variations on request.
Viennese coffee house culture in the center of Bad Gastein. We are happy to serve you a large slice of Straubinger or Linzer cake, traditional apple strudel, Gugelhupf or small snacks.
We welcome you to the fireplace bar area for afternoon tea. As soon as evening falls, the doors open to our bar, where you will find a small, carefully compiled selection of high-quality spirits, wines and sparkling wines as well as a selection of dishes.
Exclusive events take place in our traditional wine cellar. Around 200 selected wines from predominantly Austrian and other European wine-growing regions combine with the small menu selection and the panoramic terrace to create an exceptional ambience.

By car:
Here you can plan your individual Travel route to our Straubinger Grand Hotel. Parking is available within walking distance in the APCOA public parking garage.
By train:
Bad Gastein train station is approx. 20 minutes' walk from the hotel. However, due to the steep slope, we recommend taking a cab or public bus (bus stop: Wasserfall). On request and by prior arrangement, we are happy to arrange a free transfer from the train station to the hotel. Please contact us in good time in advance and let us know your arrival time and train connection.
By plane:
Salzburg Airport (96 kilometers away): From Salzburg Airport, it takes around 75 minutes by rental car to reach your destination. Munich Airport (250 kilometers away): From Munich Airport it is around 3 hours and 20 minutes by rental car to the destination.
On request and by prior arrangement, we will be happy to arrange a transfer from the airport to the hotel. Please contact the hotel in good time in advance and let them know your flight times and flight number.

What are the check-in and check-out times?
Your room is available from 3:00 pm on arrival and until 11:00 am on departure.
Can day guests use the SPA or the restaurant?
We also welcome external guests in our restaurant and bar area. Please note that the breakfast offer for external visitors can only be used subject to availability and by prior arrangement. Our staff on site will be happy to inform you about this. The wellness area is currently reserved for the exclusive use of our hotel guests.
Where is the nearest pharmacy / doctor?
Our reception staff will be happy to inform you about the nearest pharmacy on duty. If you require medical assistance during your stay, please also contact our staff directly.
Is there a turndown service?
Would you like your room to be freshened up again? No problem, we will be happy to arrange this for you.
Should I stick to a dress code or is there a dress recommendation?
The smart casual dress code applies in our hotel, which is to be interpreted according to the time of day and personal well-being – from sporty to elegant. For a classy fine dining experience in the evening in our Straubinger Saal, we request a neat dress code. Gentlemen are best dressed in a shirt, jacket, long pants and closed shoes. Ladies are welcome in elegant attire. We thank you for your understanding and look forward to spoiling you with culinary delights.
Are parking spaces available?
Our hotel does not have its own parking garage. Please use the APCOA public parking garage, which is located within walking distance of the hotel. The price is € 12.00 per day (subject to change). Please pay the parking ticket at the reception before you leave / exit the parking garage. Please note: for vehicles over 1.90 m in height, you must use the rear entrance of the parking garage.
We are happy to assist you with parking and offer you a free valet service. For this service we only charge the parking fee of € 12.00 per day in the nearby APCOA parking garage. Please stop at Straubinger Platz in front of the hotel only for loading and unloading.
Is there a charging station for electric vehicles?
An e-charging station is located directly opposite the parking garage in front of the congress center. Three charging stations are available there, which can charge a total of six cars at the same time. Our hotel staff will be happy to help you with any questions.
Are dogs allowed in the hotel?
You are welcome to bring your dog to the hotel for an additional charge and by prior arrangement. The surcharge is from €45 per day and dog excluding food. Please understand that your dog is not allowed in the restaurant and bar area or the SENSO SPA Straubinger and must be kept on a lead outside the room and on the hotel grounds.

In the evening, the Straubinger Bar opens, where guests can choose from a selection of exquisite drinks and round off the day in a stylish atmosphere.
For private parties and special occasions, the Straubinger Salon offers space for small groups and, with its exclusive ambience, creates the ideal setting for birthdays, weddings or receptions. Wine lovers get their money's worth in the wine bar in the vault, which is suitable for tastings and special events. In addition, our room service is available to guests on request so that they can experience first-class enjoyment in a private atmosphere.
Is smoking allowed in the hotel or is there a special smoking area?
The Straubinger Grand Hotel is therefore a non-smoking hotel. Health as optimal well-being is an essential part of the A-ROSA philosophy. The consumption of nicotine in all its forms is therefore not permitted in any of the rooms. Ashtrays can be provided on the terraces and balconies as required.

Is a visitor's tax levied in Bad Gastein?
The visitor's tax in Bad Gastein is € 3 per person per day. Children and young people under the age of 14 are exempt from the visitor's tax.
