Our favorite spot

Where the land ends and the sea begins.

The Lister Ellenbogen is a place that writes into the heart what makes Sylt so unique. Space, wind, the call of the birds. Sheep wander leisurely over the dykes. And with a bit of luck, you might even see seals blinking out of the waves.

If you keep your eyes open, you will discover a small wooden plaque on the edge of the dunes by the west lighthouse - inconspicuous and yet special. It marks the northernmost point in Germany. A piece of symbolism in the middle of nature.

The best ending? A walk on the beach behind the parking lot of the East Lighthouse. Soft sand, endless horizons, the sound of the surf. A moment that stays with you.

Why is this a real tip? Because here you can feel how the island, sea and sky flow into one another. Far away from everything. Very close to yourself.
