The story of great cuisine in the Kleinwalsertal began back in 1978: it was then that Ortwin Adam earned Austria’s first Michelin star at the Ifen Hotel. One of his apprentices was Sascha Kemmerer, who trained under him from 1997 to 2000. After working in international gourmet restaurants, Kemmerer returned and, since the reopening of the Ifen Hotel, has shaped its cuisine with his unmistakable signature style. Together with head chef Hansjörg Frick, who hails from Oberstdorf, the team is now among the most successful and respected chefs in the country. Hansjörg Frick held numerous classic positions in renowned establishments at home and abroad before joining the Ifen Hotel in 2013 as Junior Sous Chef. The pair’s multi-award-winning creations come to life at the Kilian Stuba as culinary experiences that go far beyond a classic dinner. Every evening in this restaurant is an invitation to experience indulgence at its finest.
