It is also an adventure playground for sports enthusiasts, who can explore the mountains on hiking trails in summer or glide down perfectly groomed slopes in winter.

Active vacation in Kleinwalsertal

In summer, 185 km of hiking trails lead through blooming mountain meadows. Seven mountain railroads, both in Germany and Austria, serve as ascent aids and help many a summit victory. With the "Bergbahnen Inklusive" ticket, nothing stands in the way of a borderless two-country vacation. The ideal location between 1,100 and 2,500 meters as well as some well-known peaks such as the Großer Widderstein, the Kanzelwand and the Hohe Ifen make the region attractive for both gentle hikers and active mountaineers.

In winter, the perfectly groomed pistes and cross-country ski trails offer ideal conditions for all winter sports fans. After an active day on the slopes, you can stop off at one of the rustic huts. A total of six gourmet huts in Kleinwalsertal provide refreshments and give an insight into rural life. Of course, they mainly serve regional and seasonal dishes.
